Midnight In Hollywood - Hollywood Nobody In Concert

18th of February, the weather was very nice, warm enough to make us all giggly and excited. We're standby at IFI Bandung around lunch time and the big welcome greet caught us right in the heart. I believe we were like "oh, my, this is really happening.." in a bossa-heartbeat.

Everyone was there. FFWD Records people - Marine Ramdhani, Uya Waluya, Helvi Sjarifuddin and all other dudes. The stage/sound/lighting people, including Ari Renaldi and Gilar Nurzaman. The IFI people. Us - Diantra Irawan, Romy Febriansyah, Upenk Erizka, Dendy Revolusi, Iru Irawan and our brass dudes. All of our friends, Willson Yonathan, Amien Prahadian, Andry Joe Ovaliano, Marnala Eross, Oktarina Lukitasari, and Muhammad Pandu. Also, Luky Annash, Dee Apriyanti and their management were there, miles from Jakarta. The great great Monstore people also made a special edition tee design for Midnight In Hollywood!

The soundcheck took hours and most of us forgot to eat and drink. We were all at backstage and not knowing the situation outside. Focus on performing, focus on performing, was constant in our mind.

Around 8 PM, Muhammad Pandu announced the Welcome Speech. Fully dressed in Atyd's designs, PotMeetsPop endorsement and U!Shoes kick ass shoes, we were entering the Midnight In Hollywood stage when hundreds of people screaming our names.

With a tick tack clue from the drum, we then hit the stage.

Hollybuddies were singing along the night. Cannot believe we're in the phase where people actually listen to our songs, get the meaning, and sing it with us. The tickets were sold out. Sold out.

Hollywood Nobody were formed in 2005. Our first concert is in 2012. It took us almost seven years to finally did this, and yes.. the show was a success. At least to five of us.

Almost 6 years in blissful series of making and performing music together, we are going to Singapore this August.
Yes, yes, Baybeats Festival 2011 indeed, a three days rock fest of local and foreign indie bands from all over Asia!

Hollywood Nobody Lyrics Challenge

The lyrics challenge: Write your own lyrics, for us to make it into a song! We will record it and you will be the songwriter!

Tulis lirik kamu dalam bahasa Inggris/Indonesia dan akan kami buat dalam lagu, dengan kamu sebagai penulis liriknya. Ketentuannya sebagai berikut:

1. Lirik dlm bahasa Inggris/Indonesia. Bisa berupa sebait, atau sudah berupa sebuah lagu. Gaya penulisan bebas.

2. Tema apapun, tapi sesuai konsep Hollywood Nobody: love, life, relationship, thoughts. Based on true story ya.

4. Batas pengiriman adalah mulai hari ini sampai 30 Januari 2011.

5. Lirik-lirik yang terpilih akan dibuatkan menjadi lagu dan akan diumumkan dan di-share pada tgl 14 Februari 2011.

6. Yang sudah pernah diposting di blog boleh disertakan. Yang penting tulisan adalah karya pribadi, bukan orang lain, apalagi band lain.

7. Satu orang boleh mengirim lebih dari satu lirik. Tapi satu orang hanya bisa dibuatkan satu lagu dari liriknya kalau terpilih.

8. Kami akan memilih beberapa lagu, tidak hanya satu. Jumlah pastinya tergantung materi lirik yang masuk, dan juga kualitasnya. Make it good!

Hollywood Goes To Makassar

On last 17th September, Hollywood Nobody were performing on Jazz For UNHAS in Makassar. It was held by Universitas Hasanuddin to celebrated their Dies Natalis. There were other performance by Tulus And David Manuhutu Trio. Since we all are friends in Bandung, the trip to Makassar was amazingly fun. Here are some photos on our three days trip. Coming with us, Yura Yunita to help us sing harmony and play keyboard, Indro and Adun to control the stage and sound system, and Willson Yonathan as the new manager.

The culinary visit

The audience were quite crowded, from students to headmasters. The purpose of the show was to create jazz environment for Makassar people. We were honored to be a part of such movement.


We hope we could go back there some other time. Soon and merrier.

The Backstage

One thing we love the most about performing is the BACKSTAGE.

All of you watching the five of us on stage, without knowing the people who has been with us always. FAMILY, that's what we called them.
